What a perfect spot for our Valentine Day get away !! The house is so romantic, the service delightful and the breakfast unbelievable–Pennsylvania

My wife and I recently stayed at the Wainwright Inn. It caught my eye because I am a wheelchair user and their ad said they are wheelchair accessible - and indeed they are! This lovely old inn with Colonial origins is well ramped and well lit at night. The doorways are more than wide enough. The accessible room has sufficient room to maneuver a wheelchair, manual or power. The bathroom is thoughtfully designed and very user friendly. Both the dining room and living room are spacious enough for any wheelchair. We have traveled widely here and abroad, and this accommodation ranks as high as the best we have found. Marjah and Robert, the innkeepers, are thoughtful, gracious, kind and knowledgeable. Daryl prepared yummy breakfasts. The location is easy to find and convenient to theaters, museums, Tanglewood and the like. Unfortunately,–Delight for the Disabled

Lisa and I just spent Labor Day weekend there and it was just what the doctor ordered. We spent hours on the porch reading, playing cribbage and watching the classic cars drive by. We explored the area, ate great food, picked up real estate brochures and immersed ourselves in the Berkshires. We did not want to leave but we are now home relaxed, re-charged and ready to face the working world again.Thank you Wainwright Inn. We are already planning our next trip! –Relaxing and Warm

The Wainwright Inn is quite beautiful. The owners are warm, friendly, welcoming and very helpful. My husband & I were there with a group of friends from our cycling club. The owners made special accommodations to store our bikes and meet our breakfast times and dietary quirks. The breakfasts were delicious. Fantastic coffee! My room on the top floor was sunny, spacious and comfortable. The bed was great and it was air conditioned! –The Bicycle Group

We've stayed here twice and enjoyed it both times. The rooms are charming and very clean. Location is ideal for us -- on Rt 7, which is the main street in Great Barrington, and a 5 minute walk to the center of town. The innkeepers couldn't be nicer or more considerate. They serve a delicious, fixed menu for breakfast but are happy to accommodate any special dietary needs you might have. The oatmeal is great. Highly recommeded. –Lovely and Restful

My spouse and I were attending a concert at the Mahaiwe theater and stayed only over a Saturday night. If only we had more time to enjoy this marvelous inn. We arrived early, but were met at the door with generous hospitality where our breakdfast requests were taken. Our room was tastfully furnished, the bathroom sparkling clean, and the bed comfortable. It's a quick walk to "dowtown" Great Barrington where we enjoyed window-shopping, a fine Thai dinner, and a great concert in the beautifully restored theater. After concert and coffee downtown, we returned to the inn, relaxed in the front parlor with open decanters of port and sherry and a visit by the gracious innkeeper who suggested a better route home to Vermont. After a quiet night's sleep, we enjoyed a gourmet breakfast and were sad to leave. We highly recommend this inn and can't wait to return! –Pennsylvania

This charming bed and breakfast is a real find. The innkeeper Marja is very warm and friendly. The house and grounds are beautiful. The town of Great Barrington is fun to explore. We'll definitely come back here.–European Charm

My wife and I were looking for a weekend escape to catch up on a ton of reading, and we happened by the Wainwright Inn. After speaking to the Innkeeper, Marja, on the phone, I knew it would be great. Well, it completely surpassed my expectations. Firstly, it's a beautiful, huge house. Secondly, the hospitality is the best you can possibly hope for. Marja and Robert are caring and thoughtful and they think of everything one might want for a perfectly relaxing getaway..–Kelly & Jo

CThis beautiful and historic old building on the south side of Great Barrington is a landmark, but the really extraordinary features are inside. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts creative and delicious, the authentic Victorian decor charming (there's an upside-down Christmas tree in the parlor during the holidays)–Much More than an Inn
