As seen in Yankee Magazine, 2006: "This centrally located inn was built in 1766 on the Boston-to-Albany stagecoach route. Greatly expanded and tastefully modernized over the years, the Wainwright is now presided over by one of the friendliest innkeepers in the business. Several of its rooms have fireplaces, as do the parlors, where guests congregate. The assistant innkeeper, an alumnus of the Ritz in Boston, makes sure the hot entrée and side dishes of each gourmet breakfast are comlemented by freshly baked breads, cakes, and other goodies." |

The Wainwright Inn is a Berkshire Bed and Breakfast nestled in the heart of the southern Berkshire region. The Inn is easily accessible from Boston and New York. We invite you to relax in our gracious setting and enjoy the hospitality of a real New England country Inn!
Our historic home was originally opened as an Inn and Tavern in 1766. It has undergone several expansions since then, including making the Inn wheelchair accessible. The latest renovations that have taken place include new furnishings as well as a newly expanded kitchen. All of our charming guest rooms and suites have private baths, air conditioning and many have working fireplaces. Guests are welcome to take full advantage of the many common areas including our comfortable living room and distinctive wrap-around porches.
Each morning our guests are served a full
breakfast in our wonderful dining
room. Our breakfast is the perfect start to a beautiful day in the
Berkshire's. We will gladly accommodate any dietary restrictions
that you might have.
